Prosciutto di Parma, which translates as Parma Ham, is one of the most famous hams in the world.
Prosciutto Crudo is the next best thing and sliced outside of Parma.
There are only four ingredients that go into making the Ham: Italian pork, air, salt and time. The pigs used are Large White (originally from Yorkshire), Landrace and Duroc – either purebred or a breed that’s registered in the Italian Herd Book.
Aged for 18-20 months before being thinly sliced, It is a great addition to any charcuterie board.
