Duck & Orange is a classic flavour combination that makes a delicious pate.
We select high welfare farm assured, ducks and chicken livers for this recipe. Livers are packed full of nutrients and vitamins such as iron. Subsequently, they are known as a superfood and pate is a great way to enjoy them.
Pâté originates from the northern and central European cuisines. In the Middle Ages, Pate was a staple of the European countryside, the “Campagne” where meat, game, and poultry were raised, slaughtered, and prepared for food. Pâté evolved as an economical and flavorful way to use all of the animals, in the same vein as blood sausages or cured products.
The pate is made here in the north of the UK. Similarly to the chicken pate, it is a wonderfully smooth and delicate pate. Certainly, enjoyable when served on french bread with a crisp glass of white wine or champagne!!
It comes in a 500g pack, not as pictured and is suitable for home freezing.
